Recentluy I had a chance to stop inside of Greendepot which is located at 222 Bowery in Manhattan and had a great time looking around the shop:
The store is mostly filled with green themed building supplies, but there are plenty of things you can buy if you aren't doing a major project like rugs and home furnishings.
They had a small but well put together book section which is nice to see in a hardware shop!
I also loved their baby gifts section which is well worth checking out.
This chair made out of recycled saws was yet another nice touch! I'm not sure that you'd buy this for your home, but it made for an entertaining shopping experience which makes you think about the larger concept of being green.
